Scope

CYTEFIRE is currently a static content and archive website. This notice describes the website functionality present at the date shown above.

Controller

The controller responsible for this website is Marcel Hoffmann, Weinberggasse 55, 1190 Wien, Austria. Privacy enquiries may be sent to contact@cytefire.com. Further operator information is available in the Imprint.

Hosting and content delivery

CYTEFIRE is live at cytefire.com and uses Cloudflare infrastructure for website and content delivery, CDN services, network security, availability, protection against malicious traffic and the site's technical operation.

When a visitor accesses the website, Cloudflare may process technically necessary connection and HTTP request data to deliver and secure the service. Depending on the request, this may include the IP address, requested URL or resource, date and time, HTTP request information, browser or user-agent information, and network or security information.

This processing serves to provide the website, maintain security, prevent abuse, and ensure availability and technical stability. Where applicable, the legal basis is the operator's legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the secure, reliable and efficient operation of the website.

Cloudflare service provider

Cloudflare, Inc. provides the infrastructure, CDN and security services used by this website and may act as a processor or service provider for relevant customer data, depending on the service. Further information is available in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare operates internationally. Depending on routing, service operation and the applicable Cloudflare infrastructure, processing may also take place outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare states that it uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable and EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

Technical logging

The operator has not enabled additional persistent HTTP request log storage through Cloudflare Logpush or Log Explorer. Cloudflare may nevertheless process technical logs and security data as necessary to provide and protect its infrastructure in accordance with its contractual and privacy documentation. No specific retention period is stated here because it may depend on the applicable Cloudflare service and configuration.

Cookies and session storage

The website itself does not currently set analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. No consent-management cookie is set by CYTEFIRE because Cloudflare Consent Management is inactive. Cloudflare may use technically necessary mechanisms as part of its security services where applicable.

The Mature Content Gate uses browser sessionStorage under the key cytefireAgeConfirmed. It stores the value true after a visitor selects ENTER // 18+ so the notice is not repeatedly shown during the same browser session.

This confirmation is used only for the entry notice. It is not a cookie, is not used for advertising, analytics or profiling, and is not transmitted as a tracking identifier.

Analytics and tracking

No client-side visitor analytics or behavioral tracking is intentionally enabled. CYTEFIRE does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, advertising tracking pixels, behavioral profiling services, Cloudflare Web Analytics or Cloudflare Zaraz.

Cloudflare may provide aggregated technical traffic and security statistics resulting from normal network operation. These are distinct from client-side visitor analytics or advertising tracking.

Local media

Website images, downloadable PDFs and videos are served directly from the CYTEFIRE website. No YouTube, Instagram or TikTok media is embedded, so opening a CYTEFIRE page does not contact those platforms merely to display CYTEFIRE content.

External links

The website contains ordinary outbound links to external services and websites, including Instagram, itch.io and BattleTech. No content from those services is loaded before a visitor clicks a link, so the external service generally receives connection data only after the visitor follows it. The destination provider's privacy rules and data processing then apply.

Mature content

CYTEFIRE is intended for an adult audience. The project may contain violence, sexual violence as a narrative theme, nudity and other mature subject matter. The material is presented as part of fictional storytelling, worldbuilding and visual art.

Access to the main archive is preceded by an 18+ content notice. The entry notice is a content-access acknowledgement and does not constitute identity or legally certified age verification. This privacy page and the legal notice remain available without confirming entry.

Data-subject rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
