Torban grew up with his mother, Elara Tigarian, around their small provisions shop in the Lower Levels of Dalmeta City. The family never moved far beyond a modest living, but the shop taught him how people, shortages and informal routes shape a neighborhood.
His education is standard. His practical knowledge is not. Torban knows Dalmeta’s shortcuts, moods and unwritten rules, and his contacts can locate ordinary goods or replacement parts with unusual speed.
What began as local help became a network built from routes, favors and earned trust.

Aurora Belt
Torban and Aurora Belt have known each other since childhood. He is one of the few people around her who remembers Aurora before rank, rebellion and the Valkyries became part of her identity.
