Background
Protection as a discipline.
Isabella grew up in NewCity, a small agricultural settlement on Kolpos, where work was physical, practical and immediate. She brought that same discipline to HDF medical service, becoming a combat medic and field surgeon with the Second Medic Corps.
By 128 AO she held the rank of Corporal E-5 and led a field team, trusted with surgery, bio-support and casualty decisions under pressure.
Her service ended under circumstances that left her with little confidence in the institution she had served. She carried the medicine with her. The obedience did not survive.

Bolistes is a thirty-ton long-range fire-support frame paired with ANGEL at the beginning of the Chronicles. Isabella’s principal expertise remains medicine; in the cockpit, however, she fulfills the frame’s battlefield role as a ranged support operator, coordinating fire and protecting the team from distance.
